As a Summary
I’m best described as a “thinking designer with a User Centred Design approach”.
I’m interested in, and strive to find, creative and beautifully crafted solutions to problems.
Yes, it has to look great, but it also has to solve the problem… otherwise it’s basically art… (which is of course great, but generally not the brief)

For Job Description Hunters
I’m a Senior Product, UI/UX, Digital & Visual Designer – with an integrated background. I'm involved and embedded in end-to-end CX, and seeing products and services holistically.

The Processes and Methodologies I'm familiar with
I have been fortunate to have worked End to End, and the subsequent iterative designs.
Over the years, across many companies, I've also worked to various workflows and processes (agile, waterfall - and the hybrids that come from that, as well as your "standard" agency models)
To help reduce the ambiguity (as there are a lot of buzz words flying about these days) here are few examples of processes and structures I'm familiar with:

Collaborative working with my Content Designer, squad and the wider design community and stakeholders.
• Initial discovery of the "problem space" and defining our product – which informs our roadmap to delivery
• Helping define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measures of success
• Helping run and coordinate workshops - including using tools such as "Crazy 8's". Refining into How Might We statements, Lean UX canvases, also using BT's "Build Measure Learn" process – to create our Squad's Backlog
• Customer Lifecycle: Working within and understanding it,  LBGUPS (Learn Buy Get Use Pay Support)
• Working with Service Designers to help create Service Blueprints and Journey Maps
• Working to an Agile Methodology
– Standup's and Scrums
– Creating and refining backlogs
– BDD (behaviour driven development) and 3 amigo sessions
– Sprint Close and Reviews
– Retros
• All within an Fully Agile Squad, including:
– Product Owners / Managers
– Content Design (my partner in crime)
– Scrum Master
– Business Analyst
– Solution architects
– Front and Back end developers
– Testers and QAs: automated and manual
– User Researchers
• Designing from a "white page" to first iterations: collaborative creation, sketching, wireframes, content hierarchies.
• Defining and creating Design Systems and visual language guidelines (tools include Figma, Sketch, Invision DSM, as well as Adobe creative suite)
• Accessibility Standards: Helping ensure designs and coded-releases pass the AA WCAG Accessibility Standards (A11Y)
• User Research and Testing:
– I've lead some moderated User Research and Testing –  (also graduated from BT's User Research programme)
– Work closely with Lead User Researchers to plan and implement User Testing; moderated and unmoderated
• Taking our Designs through a RITE process (Rapid, Iterative Testing and Evaluation)
• Iterating our designs and getting buy in from all stakeholders, internal and external
• Release of coded designs
• Based on Live Data analysis - creating new hypotheses and iterate designs

My Experience
Over the last 15 years, I’ve been very fortunate to have worked at some of the best known agencies and companies, on some of the best known products and brands. I have solid experience and exposure to working across platforms and media (including print, in all its forms); and across most sectors and industries.
I take ownership and am trusted to take my work from concept through to production, working with teams (large or small) and stakeholders – both internal and external.
Reporting to Heads of Design, Creative Directors and Product Managers, as well as working in product teams (working in Agile and Scrum).
I have solid experience working and collaborating with development teams, co-creating and iterating responsive sites and digital products and apps.

Who am I  (Without Getting Existential)
I’m a friendly and approachable person, with a strong work ethic and am technically proficient. I take pride and due diligence in crafting and delivering great work. I’m happy being part of a team, sharing ideas and collaborating to create the best product; whilst also being comfortable working alone to take ownership of my work. And I’m constantly curious to better my knowledge and to find the right solutions to the problem.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, and as always, happy to chat over a cup of tea.
